Walking on Ice is one of the coolest thing you can do in Iceland
You rarely get a chance to have an appointment with a glacier but here you can take a walk on the frozen tongue of the one and only Sólheimajökull. This glacier is a superb phenomenon that’s a harsh, raw and ever changing pivot of ancient frozen water. On this trip you’ll explore fracture riddled outlet glacier with its startling ice formations, sink holes and pointed ridges accompanied by a veteran glacier guide. After some walking and crawling on the thick old ice a wall of ice will be found and you’ll get to try to climb it with all the right tools you need and the guidance that’ll make sure you’re safe as you investigate the heights.
Pick up around 8:30 at KEX hostel. Duration is +/- 10 hours, 3/4 hours on the Glacier.
